March was a busy month across the FSL ecosystem, with the launch of Marathon Season 2, the #STEPNPanda26 event, a St. Patrick’s Day Legendary drop, and a full transition to USDT and USDC. There was also plenty happening with GGBox, while both STEPN and STEPN GO players got ready for team-based competition and new Legendary releases.

STEPN and STEPN GO kicked things off with the reveal of Marathon Season 2 on March 16. This season builds on what worked well in Season 1, but introduces Teams as a core feature. Players can now create or join squads, either public or private, with captains managing up to 20 members. There’s also a Team Energy Leaderboard that ranks squads based on total Energy spent, while individual earnings stay separate.

Registration opened right away with a 50 USDC or USDT entry lock. Round 1 runs from March 30 to April 13, and players can still register until March 30 at marathon.fsl.com. The Season Pass is back at 20 USDT, now including STEPN Premium Membership for the duration of Season 2, a Soul Bound Common Sneaker with an exclusive skin, plus Marathon Boxes, raffles, and other rewards.

The #STEPNPanda26 event ran through mid-March until March 19, turning Sneaker Enhancement into a themed event. Every Enhancement guaranteed a Panda skin, with a chance to collect one of four family members: Father, Mother, Son, or Daughter. Players who completed the full set became eligible to receive one of three Legendary Panda Godfather Sneakers.

Even completing a single Enhancement rewarded players with a Panda Badge and background. The event continues with the Panda raffle running from March 20 to 22, where badge holders can enter for a chance to win five more Legendary Panda Godfather Sneakers on Solana. Several Legendary rewards have already been distributed, showing strong participation from the community.

March also featured a St. Patrick’s Day Lucky Drop. For 24 hours on March 17, GGBoxes included a 1-of-1 Legendary St. Patrick’s Genesis Trainer on Polygon. When no one claimed it, the Sneaker moved to auction on MOOAR, giving the community another opportunity to get it.

On the ecosystem side, March 16 marked the transition from GGUSD to USDT and USDC for rewards and incentives. GGBox keys can still be purchased using GGUSD, USDT, or USDC, and existing balances were automatically converted. The process was handled in the background, so users didn’t need to take any action.

GGBoxes continued their regular weekly drops, offering Dreamland Genesis Sneakers, Valentine’s Common Sneakers, stablecoin rewards, and merch coupons. Players can also trade unopened boxes or keys on MOOAR.

FSL also marked International Women’s Day on March 8 by highlighting women in the community and encouraging users to recognise those who inspire them.

Looking ahead, the first STEPN and STEPN GO Townhall of March is scheduled for March 24 at 10 AM UTC. Hosted by Yawn Rong and guests, it will cover Legendary Sneakers, Marathon Season 2, and what’s coming next. There’s also a chance to win a STEPN GO Sneaker by submitting questions in advance.

Teams are forming for Marathon Season 2, Panda rewards are still being distributed, and GGBox drops continue each week. With Round 1 starting now and more events on the way, there’s plenty happening across the ecosystem.
