STEPN partnered with CASIO G-SHOCK to launch the first ever STEPN GO Genesis Sneakers. G-SHOCK is CASIO’s famous brand of water-resistant watches. The co-branded NFT Sneakers in the collection were inspired by the worlds of STEPN GO and the G-SQUAD line of G-SHOCK watches. The unique sneaker designs incorporate various features of the G-SHOCK brand, including colors, shapes, and structures inspired by actual products from the sports-driven G-SQUAD line of G-SHOCK timepieces. These sneakers were uniquely designed not only to appeal in virtual spaces, but also to highlight CASIO’s shock absorption when wearers engage in physical activities such as walking, jogging, or running. The collection of 800 sneakers was minted on the Polygon Blockchain.
The Genesis Sneakers were launched via a Raffle Mint on our dedicated Marketplace, MOOAR, with four distinct designs. The event generated massive engagement and participation, locking in ~20 Million USD in value during the raffle period.
The campaign was a successful collaboration and led to cross-pollination between both the STEPN and CASIO G-SHOCK communities.
Raffle Mint (August 26 - August 30, 2024): In collaboration with CASIO G-SHOCK, MOOAR hosted a Raffle Mint featuring 800 limited edition STEPN co-branded Genesis sneakers. Participants had the chance to enter the Raffle Mint for 10,000 GMT per ticket. Raffles occurred on a daily basis with 200 winners chosen each day. Refunds were provided if participants did not win.
Community Boosts: In addition, holders of the VIRTUAL G-SHOCK and MOOAR Sneaker Genesis enjoyed at least a 50% higher chance of winning.
This partnership highlighted STEPN and MOOAR’s commitment to innovation and collaboration with globally-recognized brands, successfully bridging the gap between Web2 and Web3, driving greater visibility and engagement for all involved parties.
