As the reigning World Cup champions, Argentina Football Association (AFA) is a name that echoes through football history. From unforgettable players to iconic moments on the global stage, AFA represents an entire movement with a passion for the game that transcends generations.

At STEPN, movement is everything. From the very beginning, we’ve believed that walking, jogging, and running should be rewarding, motivating, and meaningful. That’s what made this partnership such a natural fit: a shared belief in what happens when purpose meets motion.

The synergy extends beyond that. It’s also a partnership between the World Champions of association football, and the holders of two GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ titles. One for the most users to complete a remote one-mile distance in 24 hours and one for the most users to complete a remote one-mile distance in one hour. This is a perfect partnership between two organizations that aim to be the best in the world in their respective fields, and they have the hardware to prove it.

First Drop

To kickoff the collaboration, STEPN released a collection of limited edition AFA co-branded sneakers focused on the history of AFA and . The collection of 400 sneakers was minted on the Polygon Blockchain.

The Genesis Sneakers were launched via a Raffle Mint on our dedicated Marketplace, MOOAR, with four distinct designs. The event generated massive engagement and participation, locking in approximately 1.5 Million USD in value during the raffle period.


Second Drop

The second collection dropped was all about gold. The collection of 100 sneakers was minted on the Polygon Blockchain.

Raffle Mint (May 14 - May 18, 2025): In collaboration with AFA, MOOAR hosted a Raffle Mint featuring 400 limited edition STEPN co-branded Genesis sneakers. Participants had the chance to enter the Raffle Mint for 19,000 GMT per ticket. Refunds were provided to participants who did not win.


Auction (May 29 - June 2, 2025): In collaboration with AFA, STEPN hosted a gamified bid-to-earn auction of 4 limited edition STEPN co-branded Genesis sneakers. To incentivize participation, winners of the Auction not only received a co-branded Genesis sneaker, but they were guaranteed an official AFA jersey signed by star players (and, yes, that included Messi).


Raffle Mint (July 2025): In collaboration with AFA, MOOAR hosted a Raffle Mint featuring 100 limited edition STEPN co-branded Genesis sneakers. Participants earned the right to enter the Raffle Mint for 19,000 GMT per ticket by completing a required task. That task involved leveraging the video produced by AFA, in which current AFA players re-enacted iconic AFA goals and moments. In order to be eligible to participate in the Raffle Mint, interested parties had to film themselves re-create iconic AFA goals/moments, and post to their social feeds with customize hashtag. Refunds were provided to participants who did not win.


Our partnership highlighted STEPN’s ongoing commitment to community-focused collaborations and leveraged social media engagement in an innovative and fun way.
